Trump-Backed WLFI Buys $12M of ETH, AAVE and LINK. Total ETH holdings reach $56M

-

World Liberty Financial, a decentralized financial project promoted by Donald Trump’s successor as president-elect, made large purchases of Ethereum (ETH), Chainlink(LINK), and Aave(AAVE) with USD Coin (USDC). The WLFI multisignature account recorded transactions totaling $12 million on Dec. 12. Ethereum was the main currency.

Etherscan’s blockchain data shows that WLFI purchased 2,631 ETH at a price of $3.801 per token. The project now has a total of over 14,500 Ethereum tokens, valued at more than $56million. Ethereum’s value surged by 6.86% in 24 hours after the purchase.

After Trump Purchase, AAVE and LINK both rose.

The project invested $1 million in Chainlink, and Aave. WLFI purchased 41,335 LINK tokens for $24.2 each and 3,357 aAVE tokens for $297. LINK and AAVE both saw significant price increases after the purchases. LINK rose over 20%, while AAVE climbed more than 33%.

This crypto buying spree is the result of a 30 million dollar investment by Justin Sun in WLFI. Justin has now joined the project as an adviser. Sun revealed his support via social media. He highlighted his belief that the U.S. will become a hub of blockchain innovation under Trump.

Launched in Septembre, WLFI is a decentralized currency market that allows users to lend and borrow crypto assets, as well as earn interest. The project, which had initially set a lower fundraising goal, has still raised more than $55 million. This is thanks to high-profile investments and endorsements.
